I'm saying this

again, I’M HOME!! 🙂

Yeah, I think I’ve been repeating these words every now and then when I’m back from my business trips. I got home late last night or you could say early this morning at about 1am from Tokyo. Gosh, I was so exhausted I slept through out the night like a baby until 10.30 this morning! The hubby and Ethan were so sweet, they tip-toed into the room and gave me BIG hugs and kisses to welcome me home (They were fast asleep when I got home last night).

So, what have you been doing the past couple of days? I hope all of you had a great week.

This is going to be a long post and with lots of things to share, so bear with me ok? 😉

Like I mentioned in my previous post, I went crazy shopping in Tokyo!! I got myself some nice fabrics, food and other stuff. I’m going to show you what I got and hope you’ll like what you see here.

I arrived on Wednesday early morning and before I knew it, I hit the streets right away after I arrived in the hotel. The first stop I made from where I was staying in Shiodome near Ginza, I took a train to the ever famous Shijuku. I only had a few places I had in mind where I wanted to go badly, so my first stop was Okadaya, an 8 storeys high store that sells nothing except tons of fabrics!! (Take the JR line to Shinjuku and walked towards the East exit to get to Okadaya. Once you’re outside the exit, look up straight and you’ll see the big sign of Okadaya, you won’t miss it). Amazingly, I didn’t get lost looking for the place. Did some research on the internet before I lflew to Tokyo, so I got myself prepared with the map and whatever information I needed.

I just went crazy when I stepped into the store! I was stunned for a minute because I didn’t know where to start looking. So, what I did was I went straight to the highest floor and went down floor by floor, browsing and touching almost anything I laid my hands on. LOL! Yeah, I practically went crazy!

The Japanese Yen appreciated so much it was kind of expensive to visit Japan right this moment. So, I set aside a budget for my shopping so that I don’t go busted. And I was proud with myself to buy some pretty cool stuff with the budget I set for myself, even though I wish I could buy EVERYTHING from the store. They have almost anything and everything, you name it they have it! 🙂

Here’s what I got, some fabrics, bag-making accessories, lace, lots of felt, inks and magazines.

Sigh……………………… Tokyo is just an art and craft heaven and I want to go back there again soon!! Next year, I’m going to save tons of money to get more of the stuff that I have been drooling over.

I also managed to take some pictures while I was outside the Shinjuku station on the street. Weather was really great for long walks and the place was buzzing with people.

There was a ‘Live’ performance playing on the street. Really cool!

Had my hair cut really short before the trip. 🙂

At one of the stations, waiting to board the train.

A busy night at Harajuku, one of my favourite places in Tokyo.

Well, so much so for my Japan trip, my 2nd one this year. Hope I’ll be able to go back there again soon.

On  another note, there were so many things going on right now at Made With Love and I felt bad of not being able to update the events much earlier. You know my life has turned upside down for the past few months and I seriously hope I could go back to my normal routine again soon.

First of all, we’re so pleased to have a new member to the MWL Design Team!! Wooohooo!! She is no other that the ever talented Sharon Chan!! Congratulations Sharon!! We’re sooooooooo happy and thrilled to have you on board!

Just don’t go yet, there’s more to come! Made With Love is celebrating their 5th Birthday this November!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADE WITH LOVE!! You guys have come a long long way and you’ve made EVERYONES’ dreams come through with your fabulous and amazing

And there are a whole bunch of activities going around at the store with month-long discounts, personalised gifts for their loyal members, crop, gift vouchers and many more other great stuff. So, pop by here for more information.

Hey, remember the picture of the box I brought home from the store last week? 😀

Guess what it is?? 😉

It’s none other than the BIG SHOT from SIZZIX!!!

Even Ethan LOVES IT!! LOL! LOL!

This piece of amazing machine just works wonders! They could practically cut up more than 50 types of material and if you need to find out more about this beauty, pop right in here.

And I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to Elvi, Swee Ching and Sandra for indulging us with such a wonderful gift!! Thank you again for your unending generosity!! 🙂

They just had the Sizzix grand launch party since the 6th, which was most unfortunate for me that I have missed it. However, they will continue to have the Make N Take sessions through out the month of November every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Please take a look at these gorgeous projects the team has created with Sizzix.

I’m halfway through with some projects using the BIG SHOT and I’ll share them with you when they’re done. I’m soooooooooooooooooo loving my new baby!! And you really have to see it to believe it. So, quickly make your way down to the store now to have a look and book yourself one too!! Pssstttt……………………. I just heard they’re sold out on the BIG SHOT but their going to bring another shipment in the next 2 weeks, so place your order now before it’s being sold out again!! 🙂

Phew!! I’ve been talking non stop for the past hour and I’m still not done yet. Told ya this is going to be a long post, didn’t I? 😉

I spent some quiet time with Ethan this afternoon in my scrap room. I cleaned my table, not that I really need to because I haven’t been really scrapping for the past weeks, but the layer of dust is growing thicker on all my SB stuff. So, before I get started scrapping again and working on my projects, I need to clean and re-organize my table (Seriously, I don’t need to do this but what the heck!! LOL!)

I put all the unused chipboards into a container right in front of the table, to remind me to use it in my future projects. 🙂

I simply can’t believe that I have so many of the October Afternoon stamps, some of which I have not even used before!! Sheesh!! I’m just so glad that I have stopped buying stamps a long time ago.

After the table was all cleaned up, Ethan asked if he could play the disney games online for a short while. So I said why not, since he has been behaving well lately.

I’m just amazed at how well he used the mouse to click his way around the games. Sigh……………………. I guess I’ve been away from home too long to notice such changes in him and I really missed that. I forgot that kids these days are really smart, they could learn something in just a blink of an eye! I owned my first computer when I was 24!! I was a late bloomer. 😉

My baby looked so serious and all grown up!! Waaaaaaa…………………… I don’t want him to grow up so fast!! I don’t want him to stop hugging and kissing me and holding my hands. But I guess I couldn’t stop it when the time comes, right? Sigh…………………………. 🙁

Hey, it’s been 2 hours I’m still writing and it’s time to stop here. I’ll be speding the next 2 weeks in Singapore, so you’ll be seeing me around.

Hope you’ve had a great weekend and thank you so much again for leaving me your warm messages.

Hey girl – good to have you back!! I’ve visited to your site twice this morning already coz I just wanna relive my days spent in Okadaya (and Tokyo) by looking at the stuff you bought and the pics you have here! Sigh. Hubby not too keen to go back now, says we should explore another city in Japan – just hope there will be fabric stores in that city. 🙂
Great stuff you bought! Love those fabrics you have there – didn’t see those when I was there so they must be new. Sigh. I should have bought more of those straps for bags – so hard to find them here.
Oh – I wanna cry now.
Thanks also for leaving a lovely note for me on my blog! I’ll still sewing, trying my darndest to finish the list I have, so I should be able to post more pics of my sewing in the days to come. Thanks so much for your support in my sewing – real boost for me! 🙂
