Yummy Goodies

I came back a couple of days ago, totally exhausted and still recovering from sleep deprivation. I’m still trying to catch up with some good sleep over the weekend but then again, I still need to spend some time with my family as I’ve not seen them for the 5 days that I was away. The time was well-spent, worth every minute. 🙂

You know, sometimes when you feel so tired and down, there’s always someone or something that will make your day better. My family is my #1 source.

My #2 source, would definitely be my friends. When I got home on Thursday, this was what I received in the mail box from my wonderful friend, Lia.

We always have regular chats over MSN and when I was in Bangkok, I happened to hook up with her online and I kept whining to her about the new arrivals always being snapped up within the hour when the store opens in my LSS when they officially release them every Thursday. Seriously, I rarely whine about something but this has been a constant prick in my ass and I had to whine it to her. There are some things I would love to get my hands on such as this Maya Road pins but I missed out the shipment I think maybe twice already! And you know what, she told me she would give me one of hers, which I profusely declined. But she stubbornly went ahead and mailed it to me so that I would received it on the day that I come back from Bangkok as a surprise! Where in the world can you find a friend as thoughtful as her? You’re a gem girl! Love ya and thank you so much for the pin! 😀

My next goodies waiting for me on the same night on Thursday would be these books that I’ve ordered a fortnight ago. They came in earlier that I expected but I’m happy to see them on my table!

I was so excited that I had a quick shower and dinner and there I was, on the couch browsing these books for a good few hours. I’m not done with them yet. I’m just going to take my time, savouring every page everyday. LOL!

This is one of my favourites of all the craft books that I owned.

Lotta Jansdotter called herself a surface designer. Her wonderful screen printing designs adorn on fabric, stationery, ceramics, leather, shower curtains, product packaging and other source of materials. This book comes with clear step-by-step instructions on how to print with anything, from potatoes to linoleum. To read more about her, please visit her site here.

And here’s another one of my favourites (I have countless of favourite craft books. LOL!) by Lena Corwin.

Printing By Hand by Lena Corwin

This is another book filled with inspirational printing projects by hand, stamps, stencils and silk screens. This book is a comprehensive overview of all three major printing techniques (stamping, stenciling and screening) and their different applications using a variety of inks and printing surfaces. A review was done on her book with an interiew as well at Design Sponge.

If you would love a copy of Lena Corwin’s book, I’ve listed one in my Etsy. I strongly recommend this book, not because I’m selling it I have an extra copy) but it’s a worth-read book with great illustrative projects that you can try yourself at home. 😀

Are you drowned with so many pictures on this post yet? I’m awfully sorry if you are but I’m in a mood to share all the wonderful stuff that I’ve received lately so that they’ll inspire you as they did to me. I’ve been mojoless lately, so I need these stuff to inspire me again.

I’m just wondering when is my copy of {entreARTistes} Magazine arriving in my mail box. Celine told me she has sent it to me, so I’m eagerly waiting to get my hands on it! I can’t wait to see some of my work published in the issue. 😀 It’s my first assignment with the magazine.

And I’ve also received a kit pack, sponsored from a well-known kit club for my assignment on {entreARTistes) issue #5. I’m gonna start working on it soon. 😀 I just love a great mail day!

Anyway, I’m taking my beauty nap now. Badly need one. Been feeling like a zombie for the past few days.

I hope you’ve had a great weekend and thank you for stopping by again!
