My New Baby!

Not too long ago, I made a Christmas wish list with three of my most favorite things I would love to own. Two of them, a MacBook Pro and a camera flash have been fulfilled, on Christmas and my Birthday. And the third on my wish list, a Micro Four Thirds Olympus Pen series camera has just been fulfilled yesterday! Yay! I’m as happy as a cow!! Moooooo……………. (I’m an Ox child) *laugh*

So, here’s the new addition to my “babies” in my dry box (space is completely taken up! yikes!), anĀ Olympus Pen E-PL2 which is a complete beauty!! Me love it soooooooo much!

She’s beautiful, isn’t she?:D

Well, you must be wondering why in the world would I need another camera when I already owned a SLR camera, right? Seriously, I have no answer for it. LOL!

You know, when you’re an enthusiast or a collector of something you LOVE for example bags, shoes, watches, stamps blah blah blah……….. cameras work the same. So, I’m someone who can forego nice clothes, shoes, jewelries, bags etc for cameras. Absolutely any time!:D

I’m simply obsessed, with any kind of cameras, be it a DSLR, vintage analogue film cameras, hybrid cameras and polaroid cameras, I love all types of cameras. I would think this is a healthy hobby collecting cameras but definitely an expensive one. I’m lucky in a way that the hub share the interest with me but he’s no longer into it because he said he has no eye for photography. LOL! Anyway, I inherited his classic 3 tier dry box and it is now completely filled with a zillion stuff! Well, 2 tiers for my cameras and lenses, and the other one for video tapes of Ethan which were taken when he was a babe and other junks.;)

And so, I tested my new baby this morning and I just love some of the features of the E-PL2 like the Art Filters. I won’t go into the spec details of this camera, you can read them up here.

Here are some of the images with the Art Filters effect that I tried at home.

Pinhole effect with vignette. Cool!

Dramatic Tone + Art Art Frame Effects. Awesome!;)

Pop Art + Art Frame Effects

Diorama effect

(can you see the sharpness on certain part of the image and the rest is blurred?)

And I tested a normal shot of my living room with bright lights coming in from the window. Not bad at all!:)

I’ll be testing this camera more in the coming weeks and trying to get used to the functions.

Thank you all again for your warm messages. I’m happy that you came in to say hi.:)

Oh, before I forget, I popped by Scraplicious earlier and bought a whole lot of new arrivals for my blog giveaway tomorrow! I promise you’ll LOVE what I got and there are a total 2 sets of giveaway worth S$85 retail price for each giveaway!! They’re absolutely yummy!:DI’m excited and I hope you are too.

Have a good night!
