comforting words

At times when one is at loss, you would think of taking away those worries, pain, heartaches and sadness in many different ways. Some people get comforted by drowning themselves with food, alcohol, shopping, crying and all things that’s possible. Some would choose to remain quiet, keeping those emotional negativity deep inside their heart.

Well, I too have many ways of comforting myself. I’m neither those who drink, eat , shop nor keeping quiet kind of girl. At times when I’m distressed or unhappy, I remain optimistic that tomorrow is always a better day. And it works for me. But at times when I can’t kick away those feelings, there’s one person that I turn to for comfort.

To many people, he may seems to be just an ordinary young boy.

To me, he’s like an angel sent from heaven, to make my life more fulfilling than ever.

To me, he’s my source of comfort when I’m sad.

To me, he’s someone I turn to when I need inspiration.

To me, he’s someone who speaks words of wisdom with such pure innocence and yet at the same time, the words touch my heart to the core of my very soul.

To me, his words comfort me in such a sincere way.

Today when I’m feeling down, this was what he said to me “Mommy, you’re my sweetheart. I love you.”

And with these words, my pain and heartaches just dissipate within seconds.

I am indeed the luckiest woman on earth.

I’m ever so grateful that I’m blessed with a boy like him.

I’m ever so thankful that he is mine. 🙂

Hello, Leena! Had been in one of your Timeless Treasure tray classes in Scraplicious. Had been visiting your blog, too and loving your creations! Would just like to say how sweet it is of your son, saying those precious words just when you need them the most. I find that children are magical that way 🙂 They seem to know, without us telling them that we are heavy-hearted, just the perfect time to lift us up. Very sweet!
