of musings. I think I’ve spent a good 12 days in my own world, and finally, I woke up to the reality. It’s not all that bad I have to say. In fact, it was a good 12 days of reflection on myself, my family and friends, and most importantly, what do I REALLY want in my life.
Sounds kind of scary to me at times but I felt good. I felt connected to God during these 12 days, not as much as I want to but it’s good for now. I need to embrace Him wholeheartedly and be a devoted servant to Him. I need to believe and have greater faith in Him for He has given me so much over the years.
I’ve given myself a time-out to seriously consider what I need to progress in my life from now on. I’ve made a long list of what I need and want to do but I’ll keep the list short and simple at this moment. I’m prioritizing what are more important to focus on right now.
In all these years, I’ve missed out a lot of opportunities in capturing good memories of my life and my loved ones and all others around me. Sure I can remember those times when my son Ethan was born, when he started growing his first tooth, when he first called me “Mom”, when he took his first step and so on and so forth. But there are a whole lot more of events and memories I can hardly remember at all! I was alarmed by the fact that I can barely recall certain memories and I’m so afraid that as time goes by, I’ll forget everything completely.
So, what I’ve been doing lately is to photograph events on a daily basis, be it with my DSLR, Pen E-PL2, iPhone or whatever I can use to snap those memories. I have to admit that I haven’t been diligently capturing photos of my every day life for the longest time. I didn’t even realized I stopped taking photos. What I’m referring to is meaningful photos of my daily life. I probably got caught up with other things in life which are less important and I have become so absorbed with the nitty gritty stuff. It’s time for a change, for the better.
Photographing even the silliest things that happened in the past week made me happy. It was kind of hilarious being photographed with my dear friends and even my own son were simply heartening. I don’t even really care if they’re blurred or the quality is less than what I expected but looking at these pictures made me laugh hard, really hard! 😀 It was even better at that point of time when these photos were taken, I had such a good laugh until I nearly peed in my pants!! *laugh*
I will let these photos speak for themselves.
Didn’t I tell you these are REALLY good laugh? *laugh* You should have seen us right there and then, we nearly rolled on the floor laughing so much! 😉
And then I played some more at home with Ethan and he LOVED it! Apple really nailed on this one, the Photo Booth function for special effects are absolutely awesome!!
How do you like my new hairstyle? *laugh* Cool right? 😉
Yesterday was Singapore’s National Day and so we were out and about in town. The hub, Ethan and myself, we chilled out at Kinokuniya Bookstore for a couple of hours. In such a short time, we enjoyed ourselves very much. Each of us walked out of the store with our favourite magazines, books and stationeries. And there was one thing the hub and I noticed when we were there, Ethan was sitting down quietly reading his favourite books. What I mean is he literally sat quietly for a good 10-15 minutes flipping through those pages, no running about. We saw the change in him over the years and this is one BIG change, a really good one. 😀 He’s all grown up now and being more sensible is a good trait we hope we can instill in him in many more years to come.
He’s looking all handsome and mature in this picture, isn’t he? 🙂
And look what I lugged home from the bookstore for myself?
Really, why do I need these? I’m not an avid stamps user but who can resist these?! *laugh*
I couldn’t, so I became the new owner of the 2 amazing and adorable wood-mounted stamp sets. 😀
And I found this cute kraft alpha stickers as well. I’ve already an idea how to put them to good use!
And back at home, I took some time to capture Ms Piggie, gazing out the window (as always) looking like she’s in la la land.
Sometimes I wonder what’s on her mind…………..
I had a good week, making use of my lappie, iPhone, camera and took some great photos worth remembering.
I hope you had a good one too.
Will be back soon!
