I’m back again to share a gazillion pictures of our mini vacation to Malaysia last week! *laugh*
Please bear with me while I go through the pictures I took while we visited my folks, family and friends. All of the images were taken with my iPhone which was easily accessible. I don’t even know why I bothered to lug along my gigantic DSLR along. I’ve never touch that camera at all through out the whole trip! Lol! So much for adding weight to my already super heavy hand luggage. 😉
So, here are the pictures and enjoy! (just pretend you are having fun even though you’re not *laugh*)
In the cab on our way to the airport in Singapore. Look at our happy-to-go-on-vacation smiles! 😀
Ethan occupied himself with the online games in the terminal while we waited to board the flight to Malaysia.
Still waiting patiently to board the plane.
On our way up to board the plane on Tiger Airways. Thank God for budget airline that made traveling so affordable for the whole family! 😀
The poor sick boy still managed to put up a nice smile while we’re on board the plane.
So glad that the doc gave the green light for the hub to travel with us 10 days after his procedure. Couldn’t imagine going on this vacation without him.
A view of the pool from my apartment in KL. Love & missed this place to bits and I’m so very glad I bought this place 10 years ago. Great investment in this particular district.
My dad’s beloved birds. Since he’s now half retired from work, he’s enjoying his time pampering his birds. My mum complained he’s treating them better than her! Hahahaha! We know it’s not true, she’s just kidding. 😉
Ethan chilling out so he could recover quickly from his fever, cough and flu.
I devoured some of my favorite food from Malaysia on day 2. Chicken rice, rojak (mixed fruits with prawn paste & chilly), assam laksa (sweet & sour noodle soup) and popiah (spring roll with vegetables). I was as happy as a bird!
So much goodness at the bakery
Ethan had a jolly good time with Lucas, my cousin’s little boy and also my nephew. He’s absolutely adorable!
These 2 boys clearly enjoyed each others’ company. Even though they’re 5 years apart, they can really get along and played hard! I mean they pratically went crazy, nearly tearing apart my folks’ place and at the mall! *laugh*
With my cousins. Missed them so much! On the left is my cuz Jessie from my 4th aunt and on the right is my cuz Angeline from my 2nd aunt. My mum is the eldest among her siblings of 7. And I’m a big sister to them too. 😀
Here’s my dad, who was very busy chauffeuring us about during our stay. He doesn’t mind one bit. He’s the coolest dad! Oh, see that little peek of his tattoo, which I so love, he wouldn’t mind me getting one, if only I could get pass my mum’s approval without being skinned alive by her! Hahahahaha! That’s so her! 😉
Just a random shot of my feet 😀
More chilling out for this young man while he’s on the road to recovery.
My cuz Jessie gave me a treat to this awesome frozen yogurt place I Love Moo Cow while we were both out shopping together.
My treat for my cuz Jessie at Ben’s General Food Store. Great selection of sale and quiche. Very deliveious!
Absolutely the deco of this retail store called Just B at Publika, one of the coolest hang out place in town and an engaging and lively hub with a unique ‘creative retailing’ concept that fuses arts and culture with urban shopping and dining.
While I was at Publika, I managed to grab this really gorgeous diary and a tin box of mini postcards and stickers at a great discount! Not sure what I’m going to do with them yet but I’m sure I can put them to good use. 😀
Ethan with his great granny, my grandma from my mum side! It was so good to see her on this trip. She was putting up at my uncle’s place while she was in town for a visit. Missed her soooooo much!
Love this shot of my granny, Ethan and myself! I look pretty like her right? *laugh* I’m so shameless! ;p
Had a family dinner with my cousin, mum and aunt. It was great catching up with them.
My folks getting dinner at Subway. Look at how skinny my mum is! I think her waist measures only at 27-28 inches at the age 66! Skinny genes run in my family on my mum side, so I took after her but my older sister took after my dad’s side of the family, a little more plump and on the shorter side in height. Thank God I was on my mum’s side! Hahahaha! I’m so wicked I think my sister is going to kill me for saying this!
And I met up with one of my favorite girlfriends Jessy and her sweet lovely and gracious hubby, Eric. They are certainly my kind of friends, very down to earth (all Malaysians are!), warm, kind and most gracious! 😀
Sweet Jessy and Eric indulged me with my favorite food, “nasi lemak” for breakfast! It’s Malaysian dish which contains rice cooked in coconut milk, with some side dishes of chilly prawns, fried anchovies and peanut, hard boiled egg and cucumber. It was absolutely delicious! Thank you girl for making me a happy girl! 😀
Once again, the two lovely couple indulged me with wanton noodles and charcoal grilled toast filled with “kaya” and butter! Oh so yummy!
And then I spent some time at Jessy’s place. It’s a wonderful & cosy place and I simply LOVE her craft room! I could stay there forever you know Jessy *laugh*
Look at Jessy’s craft space, how can anyone not love it, right? Oh gosh, I could die for her pink vintage typewriter! I think half the time I was thinking how can I sneak that piece of treasure out of her place! *laugh*
Ok, I think I better stop for now before you really drown from all of these images!
I’ll be back with part 2 and maybe part 3 of more pictures from my trip. 😀
