I’m absolutely “switched off” for now. Completely. MIA. *laugh*
In case you’re trying to reach me by phone or email, couldn’t get hold of me or only hear from me days later, now you know why.
Well, I’m technically still around but my soul has left me to go on a long vacation. So, I barely respond fast enough or if you caught me staring at you blankly, please forgive my absence.
How was your holiday anyway? Your Christmas was good?
Mine was great, lots of luncheon and dinners to attend, meeting up old friends whom we barely see, maybe in years. It was good. Buuuut…………..I fell awfully sick since Monday, on Christmas eve!! Why does this have to happen to me at such good timing. My first time ever in fact. Sick on Christmas. So, I had to quarantine myself for two full days before I ventured out of home on Wednesday, which left me a little breathless. Only two hours out and I could barely walk and my poor hub had to drag me and dumped me into the car and drove straight for home! *laugh* What can I say? When one is turning BIG 4 in 3 months, recovery is excruciatingly slow. That’s life.
Anyway, I’m back at work since yesterday and have been “switched” off as well. It’s been quiet around the office, lots of people went on vacation. So, it’s good to have some peace and quiet for a change. No urgent emails to reply, no datelines to meet, having long lunches. I’ll get to savor moment like this until after New Year, when the new school term starts again and people start to flock to work, traffic will come to a standstill. Bah!
I. Am. So. Not. Looking. Forward. To. It! 🙁
My main reason for popping in here is to wish each and every one of you a blessed New Year and I hope you’ll have a fabulous year ahead of you. Thank you all so much for taking time to drop by my blog and to some of you, thanks for sticking with me for ages!
Here are some new year messages from me.
Always think happy thoughts. Always be positive. Always look and take a step forward. Always smile for yourself and others. Always be thankful and grateful for what you have and been blessed with. Always be contented. Always think of others. Always be healthy. Always be truthful to yourself. And always pray.
I’m absolutely blessed in many ways one could imagine. Without family and friends, I am no where near where I am right now. I’ve had a load of challenges ahead of me for the past many years but I’ve preservered the odds and managed to pick up the pieces and moved on with my heads held high. I have to say I’m proud to be who I am, to be strong for myself so I could be strong for my family. I traveled a slow and long hard road but I reaching where I’m heading to.
Have a fabulous and wonderful New Year and wishing you many blessed days ahead of you!
