Project Life | Week 11 & 12

Project Life | Week 11 & 12

It lot has been going on the past 10 days since I last blogged. I didn’t even realized the time passed so quickly until I saw my last post on March 31. Wow, it was that long I’ve gone missing! You know sometimes the every day busy-ness takes over your life and before you know it, another week or month just flew by in a blink of an eye.

I got sick early last week which confined me at home over 5 days including the Easter weekend. I don’t get sick often but when I do, it usually is a big one just like last week. You know, just the regular fever, sore throat (oh how I hate this!), cough and flu. I guess sometimes one’s body just breaks down after non-stop actions for months and I would treat it like a detoxing session, releasing all the toxic from my body. And now I’m feeling all nice and healthy again, even though I lost nearly 5lbs in three short days. I have yet to gain the weight I lost because I’m watching my diet closely, as to not overly indulge myself with too much good food! Hah! You know I have a soft spot for eating right? With all the traveling the past few months to Indonesia, I think I overloaded myself with too much goodness *laugh*. I can’t really help it when it comes to food, I eat almost ANYTHING that is being served to me. I’m a fuss-free eater so it made it all easier to get me to eat whatever is laid in front of me. Just serve me anything, from the street (forget about the hygiene) and restaurants, I eat everything! πŸ˜‰ My friends and customers always say “Just order anything for Leena, she’s the easiest to feed, she eats whatever shit you order for her!”. Hahahaha! I’m game for local food when I travel, even the most unhygienic places you can imagine, I love to try. But of course I do take extra care of the degree of hygiene, if it’s beyond anything a human can take, I’ll stop myself. Yes, I can be greedy but I know my limit. πŸ˜€

So, I’m back here again to share my Project Life spreads for week 11 & 12 which I’ve completed a week ago. I have to say I’m proud of myself to be able to stay on track in keeping my pages up to date. Right now, I’m just a week behind and I’m planning on catching up again this weekend.

For this two weeks’ spreads, I’m using a new digital core kit from Becky Higgins which I downloaded from AC Digitals site. It’s none other than Β the Midnight Edition which was designed by the talented Liz Tamanaha! Oh how I love this new edition of Becky Higgins Project Life collection! I’m sure you would agree with me on this edition too, right? I just love the simplicity of the designs on the cards and the colors are just so amazing!

I printed all the cards using my loyal printer, a Canon Pixma iP4970 on non-textured white art paper weighing 250gsm. The print quality is amazing and the colors turn out as what is seen on the screen. Love!!

So, if you can’t wait for the physical core kit to arrive this May, you can print the digital version of the Midnight Edition first and use them right away!

And here are my spreads using Midnight Edition, one of my favorite Becky Higgins core kits to date. πŸ™‚

Week 11

I’ve also cut out quite a few Silhouette cuts using Ali Edwards digital brush and stamps Hello LifeΒ andΒ Hello Heart 4×6 Sentiment BoxesΒ designs from Designer Digitals. You can see that I used them on both my week 11 and 12 spreads. The other cuts are from the Silhouette online store.

Here are some close up look at week 11.

Week 12

Something that I have noticed about myself since I started my year 2013 Project Life is that I’ve made more effort in journaling more than I used to before. I know my writing can get so crappy at times I can barely read it myself but at least I made the effort to talk a little more of what happened in the particular week or day or event. I used to be stuck with journaling and too shy to write my thoughts, afraid people might laugh at my crappy journaling but I think I couldn’t care less any more. What’s more important is that I’m documenting the memory of my life. It’s totally ok if only I can understand what I write, that’s all Project Life is all about right? πŸ™‚

I’ll definitely be using this edition again soon. Or maybe I should print the new Kraft edition to use on my spread as well. πŸ™‚

How are you doing with your Project Life? I hope you’re still enjoying putting your pages together. Remember not to get too uptight about not being able to stay on current, just do it whenever you’re able to find time to. Sometimes life gets busy and other things needs your attention, so be it.

I hope to be able to share some peeks on my next spread soon. My new May Studio Calico kits just arrived and I promise you it’ll be another fab month as always! I’ll start working on them this weekend and sneaks will be available from 14th onwards. stay tuned! πŸ˜‰

Have a great week ahead!
