Sugar Rush Reveal

Project Life | Week 52 and 2014 Week 1

I’ve been waiting for this day to come to show you how awesome Studio Calico February kits Sugar Rush are. This kit just screams spring! I’m so happy to receive the  Sugar Rush Project Life KitRing Pop (PL add-on 1), Cherry Sours (PL add-on 2), Lollies (add-on stamp set) and Sugar Rush 4″x6″ Paper Pad from Studio Calico to play with. Each of these kit and add-on is completely gorgeous! Oh, did I mention that I’m completely in love with them? 🙂

And I’m also happy to announce that I’ve officially completed my 2013 PL! Yay!

I was waiting patiently for this kit to arrive earlier this month so I can use it to complete my Week 52 and I’m glad I did.

For my Week 52 spread, I’ve stretched the dates from 23-31 December to wrap up the year. 30 and 31 December happened to fall in the same week of the new year but I think it makes more sense to include both dates in Week 52, right?

For this week, I made 3 pages of 12×12 to accommodate the last two days of December as I can’t include the photos all into 2 pages. I used a mix of Sugar Rush Project Life KitRing Pop (PL add-on 1), Cherry Sours (PL add-on 2), Lollies (add-on stamp set) and Sugar Rush 4″x6″ Paper Pad for these spreads together with the coordinated printable and cut files –

Here’s the first page of Week 52.

I used a mixed of the PL cards from the main kit and Ring Pop (PL add-on 1), Cherry Sours (PL add-on 2)

I’ve been asked before where do I get my date stamp. It’s actually from my local bookstore Popular and there’s no particular brand to it. I’ve been using it for the past two years and I love it to bits! 🙂

One of my favorite embellishments from the Cherry Sours (PL add-on 2) is the Essential Gold Foil Heart Chipboard Shapes. It comes in 17 different sizes and I used it almost everywhere on my spread! You have to get this PL add-on, you’ll love everything from the cards to the embellishments! 🙂

And here’s the right page.

Did you see what I mean about the spring colors of Sugar Rush? 🙂

Oh, the veneer circles from the Sugar Rush Project Life Kit is also one of my favorites. They have the smaller non-circle bits and pieces veneers in the pack such as arrows, XOXO letters, stars etc. It’s so easy to use them and I have them on both Week 52 and Week 1.

_MG_3822aFor this card, I used the Sugar Rush Cut Files by In A Creative Bubble and laid it on one of the papers from Sugar Rush 4″x6″ Paper Pad and then I added the Gold Foil Heart Chipboard randomly covering the heart cuts before I adhered my photos on the card.

And here’s the last page of my Week 52 which included 30 and 31 December.

And some close up shots of the page.

The “hooray” is from Lollies (add-on stamp set), I stamped it using Hero Arts Mid-Tone Shadow Ink Bubble Gum on a white cardstock. I then cut the stamped speech bubble shapes and adhered it onto my card.

My Week 1 of 2014 was documented using the main Sugar Rush Project Life Kit only, together with the printable – Sugar Rush Printable Labels by Hello ForeverSugar Rush Printable by Hello ForeverSugar Rush Printable by In A Creative BubbleSugar Rush Printable by Shanna Noel

The embellishments included in this kit are just brilliant, my favorite would be the circle veneer, chipboard shapes and the vellum alpha stickers (that looks like alpha stamp). I completely depleted these on both Week 52 and Week 1. *laugh*

_MG_3782aOh, the washi tape from this main PL kit is completely adorable with ledger and some cute random words prints on the tape.

_MG_3783a

I love that the cards have a lot of white base and they’re totally my kind of cards. You know how much I love white base cards right? 🙂

And here’s the right side of Week 1.

I can’t get enough of the chipboard shapes set! I’ve used up everything and I wish I could get another one. Just adore them! Oh, you can even machine sew over them easily without breaking the needle. 😉

I usually attached most of the printable with my Tiny Attacher from Tim Holtz. I even use it to staple the Gold Foil Heart Chipboards, it’s one of my best investments ever made on a simple tool like this.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my spreads and you got what you wanted from the Sugar Rush kits and add-ons. This month has completely blown me away and I had a lot of fun putting my spreads together. I’m sure you will love them too.

Thanks again for making time to drop by my blog and for all your lovely messages.

Have a great week ahead and I’ll be back soon!
