So, what is this all about taste for girlfriend that I’m talking about? Just yesterday, when I was out window shopping with Ethan (we needed the cool air condition in the mall as the weather was extremely hot!), my dear son picked up a dress for me to try on. I wouldn’t imagine my 6 year old boy to have great sense of color and design choices for clothes but I’m certainly impressed.

This was what he picked up for me.

This would be great for work.

Anyway, I didn’t get either both. They were a bit overpriced, so I’ll probably wait for the Great Singapore Sales, which will be here really soon. I know they’ll be on bargain, so I can wait.

On another note, we had a get together crop on Friday night for all the Made With Love DT and it was also for Irene and myself to say goodbye to everyone. It was our last day on the team and we would like to express our appreciation to all the girls and to the owners for the wonderful opportunity with a great SB store and team. It was a pretty sad to leave the team but I’m truly happy during my term with MWL. Thanks so much for the wonderful 2.5 years!! Will miss you all so much!

So much so for the weekend, spending most of our time at home, avoiding the hot sun and keeping cool at home. Hope the weather is going to get better soon.

And with a heavy heart, I decided it is time to move on and my term with the team will end this month. It was a difficult decision and I really appreciate the kind understanding Elvi, Sandra and Swee Ching have shown me. Once again thank you so much for your endless generosity.

And special thanks to Aida, who has been keeping the team spirit high all the time and for making every effort that we’re all taken care of. She has been coordinating for the team and did such a darn good job! And thank you for always being there for us and sparing us a moment of your time to listen.

I was in pain for the past week, so I have no choice but to have the darn tooth removed. The last time I had my tooth extracted was 18 years ago and that was to have 2 of my other wisdom tooth removed as well. What is this about wisdom tooth? Can’t they just leave us in peace and be nice? Sigh……….

The senior dentist was absolutely great! He made it so effortless and painless for me. It was over in 15 minutes and I have to thank him for his constant reassurance, little chats and jokes. And now I can eat anything I want without having a constant pain. Done!

So, what have I been up to lately, besides whining about my tooth ache?

I was actually left high and dry for the past 2 weeks, with no inspiration to scrap or do any crafting at all. I guess I was exhausted from my 1 month traveling in March and all I wanna do is to rest. But now, my mojo seems to have returned with vengeance! lol…lol…

You know, I have this crazy habit, which I don’t like at all. Sometimes I could simply go on a “continuous” mode in crafting for a few days in a row but more than often, I went on this “hibernation” mode or “dry spell” for weeks!! I guess I have prioritized my family and my own time on top of my other activities. This is healthy to me and I try not to feel guilty that I’m not crafting enough. I want to do it when I feel like it, unless I have a dateline to fulfill. Not because I’m being forced to.

So, in 2 days, I created 3 layouts and a simple clear mini album. Even though these projects are assignments that I need to fulfill, I’m enjoying every single minute of it. I think I’ve laid off for way too long and all of a sudden, I went on a crafting marathon! I felt happy and contented with what I created and I’ll share a little peek with you.

I made a simple clear mini album for Made With Love. This month’s theme is on clear minis and all the designers get to play along with different clear minis. Here is mine

I’m simply not a mini album girl but I think I did a pretty decent job on this piece.

Next, I created a layout for tomorrow’s blog post at Pink Paislee on techniques. So, make sure you you pop right in to see what I have for everyone. Here’s a peek of what I did.

A couple of weeks ago, I received an email from Eva, the chief editor of a scrapbook magazine in Europe and I was asked if I would be interested in contributing to their challenges which will be published for the May/June edition. I was thrilled of course and honored to be offered this opportunity. And here is the last 2 peeks I have for you, which in time to come I’ll reveal the full page once the magazine is published.

There we go, 2 days with 4 projects and I spent just a couple of hours on each day on them. I’m a relatively fast scrapper, I could create a detailed page within 2 hours. I don’t usually linger too long on a page or project and I always complete my work within the same day. I don’t have the habit of sitting on it because I know if I do, I will never be happy with the outcome. I wouldn’t say I’m a perfectionist, I’m just love to complete something that I started.

It’s Friday today!! My favourite day of the week. I’ll be having a busy weekend again with a friend’s daughter Birthday party to attend, get started on my scrapping again for my new assignments, taking more photos and have lots of fun with my little boy.
