It has finally been released on the 18th! And just by looking at the cover page, I know for sure it’s going to another awesome issue! I can’t wait to get my copy soon!

What have I been up to?

I’ve been a busy bee for the past week, watching World Cup games after games almost every night (with a break in between games and suffering withdrawal symptom!!) *laugh* Yes, you could say I’m a big World Cup fan and after last night’s game between Germany and Spain, I felt ‘crushed’ when Germany was booted out of the semi-final game. I’m sad but I guess Spain played well in the game. They deserved to win.

Well, on the crafting front, I’ve been really busy with assignments and I would say I’ve been productive and loving every minute of it. I’m going to share some of my projects I’ve created, today and the next few days. Just a word of warning, it’ll be loaded with pictures, lots of them and I hope you won’t be choked by them! lol!

Here’s my page for [entrARTistes] Magazine blog which I’m assigned to use felt. You would have guessed where my felt comes from. I used felt to create accents and cut them out with my flower Sizzix die.

You know, I still have a whole lot of felt which I bought from my Japan trip last year and they have been seriously under utilized! Talk about me being a felt hoarder! *laugh*

And I think I could use some of them as a nice GIVEAWAY so you can create some projects using the felt. How about that?

Well, my felt comes in rolls of about 40cm x 40cm and you could do a LOT with one sheet. The quality is really good and it will look even better in any kind of projects you make.

So, I’m giving away 5 ROLLS worth of felt with different colors (you’ll love them) to the lucky one and all you need to do is leave your comments in this post about what you think you’re going to use the felt for. Simple enough? Well, you could tell me you’re going to make a phone pouch, altered stuff, accents for your layouts, blah blah blah……………………. Just say I’m pinching some inspiration from you. lol!

I’ll take a picture of the felt and update it here by tomorrow.

I have one more project I want to share before I knock off. This one is for Simply Renee blog post and my last one as their DT. It’s been a wonderful 6 months on board their team and I wanna thank Renee and Bobbi for everything. And congratulations to the new talented DT girls!!

I altered this Ikea desktop mirror with a whole lot of yummy stuff from Prima and I’m loving how it turned out!

Phew!! I’m done with my post today and I’m so thirsty after I ’talk’ so much! lol!

{EA} Magazine #8

Just a couple of weeks ago I received my copy of {entreARTistes} issue #8 and once again, I’m so inspired by the every projects published in this magazine. The DT never ceased to amaze me with their creativity and the efforts they put into their creations. Every quarter I always look forward to receive tons of inspirational projects and this is no exception.

In this issue, I created a page under “My Favorite Product” which I chose the Pink Paislee’s Queen Bee collection as my choice.

Here’s my page and I hope you like it.

Once again, thank you for all your warm wishes in my previous post. Nothing makes me happier than your kind words.

I’ll be going on a short vacation this Friday to visit my family in Malaysia. It’s been a while since I last visited my home country and this will be a good break for me and the hub from work. And since it’s school break for Ethan, he’ll be thrilled to see my folks again and all his aunts and uncles and cousins! And I get to meet my best friends and their families as well. I’ve been really looking forward to this trip for the longest time!

I’ll be back soon and hope you’ll have a great time yourself too.

I used a caricature of Ethan drawn by an artist not too long ago at my friend’s daughter birthday party as my inspiration for this challenge. I love the look of the over blown head and the huge smile on Ethan’s face. Isn’t it adorable?

The materials used in this layout are:

Papers: Kraft paper, Bazzill cardstock, Hambly Screen Prints

Overlay: Hambly Screen Prints

Mists: Tattered Angels (Cinder & Brick)

Paint: Making Memories (Lagoon & Asphalt)

This publication looks yummy and I can’t wait for my copy to arrive!!

And here’s my piece of work for this issue in the New Product section. Hope you like what you see.

I just love this Artist Painters Tray from 7 Gypsies!! Took me about 2 hours to complete this but the process was amazing! I used bits and pieces of my scrap supplies and when everything was finally in place, I just stare and stare at this tray the whole time! lol…lol… I love how I can put up the pictures of my family and there are still space for embellishments. Lots of them! This tray is now sitting on the wall in front of my scrap table.

This is such a wonderful wall or table display. I have another piece in fact, going to have another round of fun time!!

Hahahahahaha!! I’m a little dramatic today because I’m in such a wonderful mood. That’s because I’ll be going for my break soon, so my mood has changed for the better! Even though I’m now rushing like a mad woman to tie up some loose end at work so I could go for my break in peace, it didn’t affect me one bit. Seriously, when the time comes for me to go my my well deserved break, emails and requestes always start flowing in like the lava oozing out from the volcano, hot and fast!! It always happen and I’m like “What?? Can’t you guys give me a break and let me go for a nice vacation without requesting for the impossible datelines??!!”.

Anyway, I’m not going to let it affect me. I’m happy and I’ll be happier when tomorrow comes. lol……lol……..

I’ve got some eye candy to share with you from my work with {entreARTistes} Magazine Issue #6, which is already out today!!

This is my favourite canvas work.

But here is my all time favourite!! Just look at how beautiful Ally and Jeff are! They are just perfect!!

So, now you get an idea what I’m going to teach?

Very similiar to the above piece and loads of yummy stuff from Prima! Some techniques you will learn from this canvas piece and you will walk away with something to remember.

Eh, so sorry to keep you guessing about this canvas piece for the past week. I hope you like what you see here and thank you to some of you who have emailed me to book a place even without looking at the actual work and not knowing how much you’re going to pay for this class. All I can say right now is, it will be worth while with all the yummy goodies included in the finished piece.

is going to be officially out tomorrow! I’m so excited and anxiously waiting for my copy.

And the best of all is, Ali Edward is the special guest in this issue!! There are loads of inspiration, colors, sweetness, sewing, fabric, knitting, paint, emotion, great and inspiring articles. Everyone is going to love it!

Blog Challenge

at {EA} Magazine blog is up this week! I’m doing frames and tags challenge. This can be interpreted in many ways and my interpretation is as such

I used Ikea frame as my framework and loads of stuff my favorite brand, Hambly.

Look at how I used the Making Memories clips to secure my pictures. And in time to come, I can change the pictures as and when I want to. The clips were held to the background using brads, which are not visible.

I used 7 Gypsies tag as part of the background. Looks pretty cool to me.

Pop by the blog now and try it out yourself. You can use any types of frames and/or tags to come out with something you like.

P/S I’ve ordered loads of gorgeous supplies for my upcoming canvas class, good for 2 classes with 4 seatings each. I’ll be conducting it in my own home as I’ve mentioned. I’m itching to show you the canvas but not just yet! I think I’m more excited than anyone else! lol……lol……..
