The latest issue #21 is finally out! Right now, I’m waiting patiently for my copy to arrive. I can’t wait! *laugh*
I know this issue is like any other issues, that are filled with amazing projects by all the contributors and readers’ submissions. I always love receiving my copy every quarterly to get tons of inspiration from this wonderful magazine.
In fact, I have two projects that I contributed in this issue.
So, here they are.
The first article I wrote was about creating blank journaling cards for Project Life. I used bits and pieces of my embellishments to create blank journaling and filler cards you can prepare in advance to fill up your PL spreads.
And my 2nd layout would be the color challenge using some materials to create the page for example newspaper, fabric, sequins, watercolors, B&W picture, sewing etc. I had a lot of fun playing with the watercolors, which I’ve not done for ages.
Here are a closer look of my page.
I used fabric to make a yoyo (my first time!) and added a brad in the centre.
Lots of layering with newspaper, scraps of pattern paper and embellishments. I love how the watercolors run down the page and add a nice touch to the layout.
And I added machine stitches and run it over some butterfly stickers.
I’ve also added small bits and pieces of circle chipboards and shape stickers randomly over the page.
I love these chipboards that I’ve purchased a while ago, that I’ve totally forgotten all about! But I’m glad I found them and put them to good use.
With so much bright colors in my page, the B&W picture stood out prominently amongst all the layers of papers and embellishments.
This is in fact my 2nd layout I’ve created this whole year and I have to say I’ve missed scrapping layouts. I used to be a traditional layout girl but I stopped since I started Project Life last year. I think I’m going to pick it up again in time to come. I still do enjoy making layouts after all these years and will always do.
Thank you once again for taking time to drop by my blog and for all your lovely messages. I hope you’ve enjoyed my projects in this issue.
See ya soon!
