4 more days…….

I’m not trying to be mean or unappreciative that my folks are in town. In fact I’m more than happy they’re hanging around longer than their previous visits.

However, my mum doesn’t really approve of me staying late into the night doing my regular stuff, you know, my scrapping. Hehehehehehe…………………

She said I got to wake up early for work, so by 10pm she’s already shooing me into my bedroom. But mum, 10pm?? Can you believe that? Ethan is not even asleep yet & I, a 34 year old mother have to sleep before my son! Aaaarrgghhh!!

It was terrible of me telling my friends the ‘Empress Dowager’ is in town & I can’t go out or stay up late. A bit frustrated but then again, I’m glad she’s around because she’s cooking all my favourite dishes everyday! Yummy yum yum!!;)

Am I seeing a slight bulge on my tummy……………….. Yucks! ;p

Anyway, Happy Birthday mum & I love you! Oooppsss….. and I love you too Dad! Hahahahahaha…………………..

Childhood memories

I was rummaging through my albums & look what I’ve found? Isn’t it great?

But the sad thing is, I’ve only very few pictures taken when I was a baby. My sister as the 1st born, have the priviledge of having much more pictures taken.

Nevertheless, I’m trying my very best to preserve these pictures as well as I can. Brings such great memories just looking at them.;)

Glad to be back

I was greeted by a sense of relief when I came back to town. Call me crazy or mad but I’m glad to be back from my short vacation in Malaysia.

The few days when I was away, I rested well, never had a thought about work, for the first time in many months.

I spent most of my days catching up with my much needed sleep, I ate whatever was placed in front of me, spent some quality time with my boy & caught up with some old friends, whom I haven’t seen for many years.

The funny thing is that, though I’ve been in Singapore for 11 years & constantly missing home during my first few years here but when I went back this time, I do not have those feelings of missing home anymore.

Maybe I’m getting used to the life here & what I like it here is that I feel safe. Even though Singapore is such a small country, a tiny island I would say, as compared to many other countries in the world but it’s peaceful. There’s no political disturbances, the island is free of natural catostrophe & the economy growth is at its peak. In fact it’s quite a perfect place to live in.

When I was in KL, there are so many changes I’ve seen for the past few years but there are things still remains unchanged, which I find a pretty sad thing (I would not elaborate further because I think many of you would understand what I’m trying to say here).

However, Malaysia will still be my home, where I was born & bred. As for now, I’m just contented to be where I am. Maybe some day when I grow older, who knows I may return to Malaysia & spend my retirement days there, that is if it is safe.
