I’m kind of excited to share this the moment I received Studio Calico new Neon Mini Mister Huey’s mists yesterday when I got home from work. What a perfect timing for these new amazing neon mists to arrive just before the weekend starts.

And so I went crazy with the mists today because it’s Saturday and the only day I get to stay in my craft room and do whatever I want! Hah! Almost anything.;)

I even roped in Ethan to try out the new neon mists and he got as excited as I am. Oh yes, he’s a BIG fan of mists and paints, so I let him try out the new mists.

Here’s what he made.

I have to say the colors are absolutely brilliant! They are more neon than what you see in real life. The photos may not do justice to the actual color.

And since Ethan can do this, so I can I! *laugh*

Here’s my take.

I tested the colors out on some of Studio Calico’s masks, I mixed at least two colors together and I love the effect!

I can’t be happier to receive these new neon mists from Studio Calico. Thank you so much for sending them over!!:D

Then I was thinking why not use the card for my Project Life spread together with the May Planetarium stuff. Cool!

Here’s sneak of my title card for Week 14 (Yes, I managed to complete the spread today! Yay!)

Have I said that I love them so much? *laugh*

No seriously, you need to get these new Neon Mini Mister Huey’s mists. You’ll love them as much as I do!

These will be available on April 27th, at Noon EST. That will be US time and it’ll be on April 28th in Singapore, I think.;)

I hope you’ll get to buy them when they’re released next week.

Good luck and have a great weekend!

  • ShawnApril 20, 2013 - 10:58 am

Once again…fabulous! Can’t wait to see your finished project!

A lot is going on right now at my work place.

There will be big changes.

Which means, re-structuring of our organization within the company. We’re growing and these changes are required in order for us to achieve our long term goal.

This is the reason I’ve been absent from from blogging and even on Instagram.

I was completely exhausted every day the past week after I got home and I would crashed after Ethan goes to bed. That explains how dead tired I was.

The sad news is, my boss has resigned and will be leaving us by end of May. This is extremely sad for our team. We’re very fond of her and it will be really sad to see her go but we do wish her all the best in her future endeavour.

Next, our team will be split now. That is another one bad news. We’ve been working so well together, and now we have to move on to different divisions. Nevetheless, we’ll still be seeing each other often as we’re just a few tables away from each other. That’s a consolation.

I will move on another division and I will now have a new boss who has recently joined our company a couple of months ago. He’s got big plans coming up for our new business expansion and I foresee that I will be really busy from June onwards, our new financial year. But I’m keeping my mind open to accept these new challenges.

This is what I’m doing right now.

Wish me luck!

Happy Friday Everyone!

    I wish you luck!

Just over a month ago, I’ve received a mail by Katheryn from TinyTiles asking if I would love the opportunity to have my Instagram images printed and made into ceramic magnet tiles and I went like “Oh wow, that’s absolutely interesting! I’ve never thought of that idea before!”.

TinyTiles was absolutely gracious to sponsor 6 tiles for me to review them! How awesome is that! :D Picking just 6 images was a tough choice, really tough, as I have hundreds of favorite IG images that I love! So I bought another 6 tiles, with discounts from TinyTiles of course, and I was more than happy to have a total of 12 of my Favorite Instagram pictures made into the magnet tiles.

Here’s a little background of TinyTiles how their business venture came about before I show you my tiles.

We love taking photos everywhere we go but more often than not, these photo memories get forgotten after we save them in our hard disk or  host them on social media channels like Facebook, Instagram etc.

If you miss the physical touch of prints and wish to reminisce about the good ol’ days,  fret not! TinyTiles is here to provide a personalized printing service to turn your photo memories into tile magnets, at an affordable price. Stick them on your fridge, or any magnet-loving surface you can find!

By TinyTiles

These are my ceramic magnet tiles I’ve received from them just a few days sending my IG images over! Great service and quick shipping!

I have to say I’m impressed with the tiles when I saw received them. I chose a selection of images with different colors tones so that I could compare the print quality. Knowing that my Instagram images aren’t in the sharpest quality, the results of the printing on the tiles are pretty good.

I even had a B&W photo printed on one of the tiles and it turned out as great as the colored ones.

Each of these tile measures 4.5cm x 4.5cm (1 3/4″ x 1 3/4″). So, Instagram images which are cropped to squares are ideal to make them into these ceramic tiles. All you need to do is to send them straight to TinyTiles and they’re ready to be printed and sealed into these tiles.

I hope they’ll be offering tiles that are slightly bigger than their current size. I’d love to a different selection of sizes for my images.

At the back of each tile you’ll see a circle magnet attached to them so they’re ready to be attached to your refrigerator or any other metal surface. They look pretty amazing lining up on my fridge.:)

TinyTiles offers a selection of 3 tiles for just S$6.50, 6 tiles for S$12.00 and 9 tiles for S18.00. To order these tiles, just email TinyTiles at tinytiles.sg@gmail.com and for more payment and shipping info, please visit their website here

These ceramic magnet tiles make really great gifts for family and friends, they’re very personalized and they made great photo memories for yourself and your loved ones.

If you would like to have your photos made into these tiles, TinyTiles is very generous to offer 10% off for orders of 6 tiles and above to all my readers! All you need to do is visit their Facebook page here, like them and quote “findingnana” and you’ll get 10% off your orders! Thanks so much TinyTiles for your generosity!

I would definitely recommend that you try getting your Instagram or any other images printed on these ceramic magnet tiles, they’ll look amazing as home decors.:)

Happy shopping!

    Very Cool!

Project Life | Week 11 & 12

It lot has been going on the past 10 days since I last blogged. I didn’t even realized the time passed so quickly until I saw my last post on March 31. Wow, it was that long I’ve gone missing! You know sometimes the every day busy-ness takes over your life and before you know it, another week or month just flew by in a blink of an eye.

I got sick early last week which confined me at home over 5 days including the Easter weekend. I don’t get sick often but when I do, it usually is a big one just like last week. You know, just the regular fever, sore throat (oh how I hate this!), cough and flu. I guess sometimes one’s body just breaks down after non-stop actions for months and I would treat it like a detoxing session, releasing all the toxic from my body. And now I’m feeling all nice and healthy again, even though I lost nearly 5lbs in three short days. I have yet to gain the weight I lost because I’m watching my diet closely, as to not overly indulge myself with too much good food! Hah! You know I have a soft spot for eating right? With all the traveling the past few months to Indonesia, I think I overloaded myself with too much goodness *laugh*. I can’t really help it when it comes to food, I eat almost ANYTHING that is being served to me. I’m a fuss-free eater so it made it all easier to get me to eat whatever is laid in front of me. Just serve me anything, from the street (forget about the hygiene) and restaurants, I eat everything!;)My friends and customers always say “Just order anything for Leena, she’s the easiest to feed, she eats whatever shit you order for her!”. Hahahaha! I’m game for local food when I travel, even the most unhygienic places you can imagine, I love to try. But of course I do take extra care of the degree of hygiene, if it’s beyond anything a human can take, I’ll stop myself. Yes, I can be greedy but I know my limit.:D

So, I’m back here again to share my Project Life spreads for week 11 & 12 which I’ve completed a week ago. I have to say I’m proud of myself to be able to stay on track in keeping my pages up to date. Right now, I’m just a week behind and I’m planning on catching up again this weekend.

For this two weeks’ spreads, I’m using a new digital core kit from Becky Higgins which I downloaded from AC Digitals site. It’s none other than  the Midnight Edition which was designed by the talented Liz Tamanaha! Oh how I love this new edition of Becky Higgins Project Life collection! I’m sure you would agree with me on this edition too, right? I just love the simplicity of the designs on the cards and the colors are just so amazing!

I printed all the cards using my loyal printer, a Canon Pixma iP4970 on non-textured white art paper weighing 250gsm. The print quality is amazing and the colors turn out as what is seen on the screen. Love!!

So, if you can’t wait for the physical core kit to arrive this May, you can print the digital version of the Midnight Edition first and use them right away!

And here are my spreads using Midnight Edition, one of my favorite Becky Higgins core kits to date.:)

Week 11

I’ve also cut out quite a few Silhouette cuts using Ali Edwards digital brush and stamps Hello Life and Hello Heart 4×6 Sentiment Boxes designs from Designer Digitals. You can see that I used them on both my week 11 and 12 spreads. The other cuts are from the Silhouette online store.

Here are some close up look at week 11.

Week 12

Something that I have noticed about myself since I started my year 2013 Project Life is that I’ve made more effort in journaling more than I used to before. I know my writing can get so crappy at times I can barely read it myself but at least I made the effort to talk a little more of what happened in the particular week or day or event. I used to be stuck with journaling and too shy to write my thoughts, afraid people might laugh at my crappy journaling but I think I couldn’t care less any more. What’s more important is that I’m documenting the memory of my life. It’s totally ok if only I can understand what I write, that’s all Project Life is all about right?:)

I’ll definitely be using this edition again soon. Or maybe I should print the new Kraft edition to use on my spread as well.:)

How are you doing with your Project Life? I hope you’re still enjoying putting your pages together. Remember not to get too uptight about not being able to stay on current, just do it whenever you’re able to find time to. Sometimes life gets busy and other things needs your attention, so be it.

I hope to be able to share some peeks on my next spread soon. My new May Studio Calico kits just arrived and I promise you it’ll be another fab month as always! I’ll start working on them this weekend and sneaks will be available from 14th onwards. stay tuned!;)

Have a great week ahead!
