A lot is going on right now.

Chinese New Year spring cleaning. Shopping for new year goodies and clothes for my boys (none for me though). Catching up with a long report after I returned from my trip last week. Making new flair buttons for my shop (I missed doing this!).

And my external hard disk stopped working two days ago! I nearly had a heart attack because thousands of my photos are stuck in there and I cannot imagine what I’ll do if I lose all of them. But luck is on my side. After some coaxing and pacifying, it decided to work again and I quickly got an extra new hard disk and backed up all my photos and other data. So, now I have two hard disk, just to make sure they’re safe.

You see how “exciting” my life is in just a short few days? *laugh* If this happen to me all year round, I think I need a high dosage of morphine to keep me sane and from a severe headache.:D

Anyway, that’s what currently is going on the past week and I though I’d like to share what I’ve been doing and where I’ve been to.

I just love this time of the year when Chinese New Year holiday is just around the corner! The whole town is filled with reds especially Chinatown. There are lots of goodies to buy and just roaming the street makes me a happy girl! So vibrant and filled with festive mood.

On another note, I finally found time to design and make some new flair buttons for my shop. They will be released in the next few days I hope.;)

And here’s one for the Valentine but definitely not limited to the ocassion. They can also be used on your Project Life and other craft projects for all ocassion to express your love for someone.

I’ll be announcing the release of more new buttons once they’re ready to be listed in my shop.

I hope you’re having a great week so far.

I’ll be starting my holiday from tomorrow and will return to work next Wednesday. Yay!

Here’s wishing all my Chinese friends a wonderful Lunar New Year and may your days be filled with great Prosperity, Good Health and Wealth all year round!!

Happy New Year Leena. Your buttons look awesome.

I had read about your using a back-up external in one of your project life posts, and I thought to myself she should really have at least two back-ups drives. Reason I thought this was I have a portable external that I dropped (information not retrievable unless I have $500+ for someone to retrieve) and after reading on the internet, I should have had minimum 2 back ups. So far I have my photos but I wonder what I had on that portable.

Glad you were able to back up your photos.

Happy Chinese New Year!

I just found your site and I LOVE your style! It truly is inspiring!

I am way behind on my project life for the year (I still have not finished last year’s. :( ). But I want to keep this year’s on track as I go back and get 2012′s done too. I love how you mix up your sizes of your photos in your LOs. Can I ask what you are using to print them? Do you print at home or send them out? What program do you use?

FindingnanaFebruary 25, 2013 - 2:26 pm

Hi Shannon,
Thank you so much for taking time to drop by my blog! :)
I print all my photos from home using my Canon Pixma iP4970 printer. I used the Canon utility to do all my printing setting. The utility comes in the CD when I bought my printer. I hope this helps answer your questions. :)

Project Life | Week 50 & 51 Twenty 12

Project Life | Week 50

I’m so glad I’m finally back home after a week away on a business trip to Indonesia. I’ve missed my boys so much I felt like it’s taking forever to get my work done and come home to see them. It’s been a long week, I’m so exhausted by the work done this week but when I saw my boys again, my tiredness just vanished. That’s the power of healing! *laugh*

Anyway, in case you’re wondering what I work for a living that allows me to travel to places around Asia, I’m working with an automotive German company based in Singapore. I’m working in the Marketing division. We take care of all the marketing activities in this region and on country basis. So, I’ve been assigned to take care of Indonesia, which is our biggest customer in the region, Malaysia, Taiwan and the Philippines. Whatever marketing activities that need to be implemented in these countries under my care, I have to be there. Which explains my frequent traveling. I have to say I’m one lucky lady because, almost half of my 20 years of working life, I was required to travel. First, my job as a flight attendant with Singapore Airlines (that was ages ago!;)), then my previous job in Nissan (also a regional office based in Singapore) and my current one, all of which requires traveling. I love these jobs very much because I don’t have to get stuck in my office 365 days a year. When I travel, I get to expand my knowledge, my understanding of different cultures, my thirst for local cuisines, and all of these makes me a better person. It opens up my mind and heart to people from all walks of life. I have better tolerance in life and it helps me to see the world in a different light. Believe me, I’ve seen enough to write a book and I’ve never been prouder to have such amazing opportunities to travel to so many countries. And I’m thankful for all of this.

Ok, enough about what I do for a living. As I’ve been away for the past week, I’m now trying to catch up with lost time. I have 4 weeks worth of my Project Life spreads to share but first, I’d like to show you what I’ve done for my spreads using Becky Higgins Seafoam core kit, thanks to Becky for this wonderful product!:)

Here’s what I did for my 2012 Week 50 & 51 using Seafoam core kit and some bits and pieces of my own stash.

Week 50

I have to say that I absolutely love working with Seafoam kit! The color palette of the cards are just amazing, they’re filled with beautiful cards, from the title cards, to fillers and journaling cards. They’re so well designed by Elise Blaha, the brainchild behind this wonderful kit! Thank you so much for making such gorgeous kit!

Besides using the cards from the Seafoam kit, I’ve also added some bits and pieces of stuff from my own stash and from the leftovers of my Studio Calico’s project life kit. The few favorite items that I added was washi tapes, alpha stickers, labels from my shop and some die cuts from my Cameo. These are considered my essentials when I work on my Project Life spread.

Here’s a  close up look of my Week 50 spread.

For Week 51, I’m also using the Seafoam cards as the base and the other miscellaneous stash that I worked on my Week 50.

Week 51

And here are some close up shots of my Week 51.

Phew! That is one long post filled with tons of images! And it took me more than an hour to get them up. My darn blog dashboard is running sooooooo slow like a snail and it is so frustrating when I need to quickly get a post up. I really need to look into how to get it work faster, probably an upgrade to the memory size of the platform or something like that. I’m not too savvy on this matter but I’ll figure it out.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my pages and I’ll be back soon with my new 2013 spreads.

Thank you once again for taking time to pop by my blog. My apologies for the lack of postings as I was away in the past week. I promise to post more this year, another one of my 2013 goals.:)

Have a great weekend ahead!

Donna G.February 3, 2013 - 6:47 am

I did wonder about your job. What wonderful travel opportunities you have! I love Seafoam, too. I used it for Week Four of PL. Thanks for sharing your pages. They’re always gorgeous!

libbywilkoFebruary 3, 2013 - 12:49 pm

Always love catching your pages Leena.

On The Road

I’m just popping in here quickly to let you know that I’ve been on the road since Sunday in Indonesia. My business trip schedule covers two major cities, Jogjakarta and Surabaya. Both are my first trip and I’ve been enjoying it very much! Lots of good food, meeting new people and understanding the culture of these cities. I’ll be flying home tomorrow and I’m so looking forward to see my boys again. I’ve missed them so much!:D

I’ll see you back here soon again. Here’s a snapshot of my trip to the famous UNESCO World Heritage site, a 8th century Buddhist temple. My heart was completely captured by this amazing structure. It was worth the trip in waking up at 3am to see the sunrise!

Here’s another one with the view of Gunung Merapi, an active volcanic mountain which last eruptic in November 2010. Stunning sight of the mountain peak!

Mel NunnJanuary 31, 2013 - 6:39 pm

Hi Leena. You are very lucky! What do you do for a job that allows you to travel like that??

Front Row Sneak Peek

Hello All!

I’m back again to share some sneaks of what I’ve been up to this week. I’ve been busy playing with Studio Calico’s February Front Row kits and I have to say I’m loving each and every single product in the kits that I received from SC!:D

Here’s a peek of what I made for my Project Life spread for Week 1 and 2 these past few days.

This one is using the Front Row Project Life kit only with a mix of coordinating printables and die-cut. Gotta love the wood veneer and hexagon cut!

This too was created using the Front Row Project Life kit only with a mix of coordinating printables and die-cut. Super love!:)

I seriously can’t get enough of the amazing Front Row Project Life kit and the printables and die-cuts! That picture of my boy when he was a baby, always make me smile.:)

This sneak is from my Week 2 using a mix of Front Row Card & PL kit, add-on #1 & coordinating printables and shop item. Love!

And here’s my last peek, also using a little bit here & there of Front Row Card & PL kit, add-on #1 & coordinating printables and shop item.

Woweeee!! I got so damn high being swarmed by all the goodness from the February’s yummy goodies! *laugh*

I am sure you’ll be so looking forward to receiving yours next month after the reveal day.;)

I hope you’re having a great weekend so far. Mine was so so because of the rain. Gloomy weather and no sun since yesterday. Sigh……… Let’s just hope the sun will come out to play again soon.

Have a great evening and thank you for taking time to stop by my blog!:)

Much Love ~ Nana

Yay I am off the wait list and will be getting this kit. I can’t believe you used the back side of an eyelit for a focal point. It looks awesome, very clever, and from the sneeks of this kit I super love it as well.

Michelle HunterJanuary 21, 2013 - 4:09 pm
